Cabra Judo Club

Cabra Judo Club is located at PARKSIDE COMMUNITY & SPORTS COMPLEX, Ratoath Rd, Cabra, Dublin, D07 Y891, Ireland.

Cabra Judo Club was founded in 2011 by Alonzo Henderson, a dedicated martial artist with a vision to introduce children to the practice and values of judo. Since its inception, the club has grown into a respected community hub for judo training across Cabra and Glasnevin. Classes are held at two accessible locations: Cabra Parkside (Bogies) and Lindsay Rd N.S., both serving as active centers for weekly training.

The club offers structured programs for various age groups and skill levels. Kids 5+ can attend sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while older participants join the Squad 10+ training. Adults, including beginners, are welcome in dedicated classes such as the Women's class on Saturdays and mixed adult sessions. The schedule also includes squad training and open mat time for skill development.

At the heart of the club is Alonzo Henderson, Head Coach and a 6th Dan OLY with over 30 years of coaching experience in schools, clubs, and universities across Dublin. He is supported by Nevenka Fernandez, an L2 qualified assistant coach, and David Moloney, who serves as both assistant coach and club secretary with an L1 coaching qualification. Their combined expertise ensures safe, progressive, and inclusive instruction for all members.
