Training takes place at St Johns Lutheran Church, a dedicated venue supporting the growth of judoka of all ages. Sensei Joe began his journey in 1968 at the age of 13, bringing over 50 years of experience to his teaching.

He leads a team of dedicated instructors committed to technical excellence and personal development. Sensei Kurt started Judo around age eight in Bay Shore, New York, and has earned the rank of Yodan (4th Degree Black Belt) in recognition of his service and skill.

His progression reflects the dojo’s emphasis on long-term growth and dedication. Sensei James began training in 1982 at the Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and holds the rank of Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) through the USJA.

His development underscores the club’s connection to national Judo standards.

The club is affiliated with the USJA, ensuring members train under a recognized governing body.

All new participants join a structured programme designed for safe, progressive learning.
