Bedford Judo Club

Bedford Judo Club, founded in October 1951 by Dutch pioneers John and Arthur Zwetsloot, is Bedford's oldest judo club and has maintained its multicultural heritage throughout its history. Located at Bedford Academy on Mile Road in Bedfordshire, England, the club is recognized for developing exceptional young judokas, including Laura Allen, who became the UK's youngest black belt at just 15 years old. The club hosts regular dan gradings and Kent international competitions, offering comprehensive judo training for athletes of all levels in the British Judo Association network.
