Cambridge Camkada Judo Club is located at Thornton Road, Cambridge 3434, New Zealand.
Cambridge Camkada Judo Club has been a cornerstone of the Cambridge community since 1963. The club operates out of its own dedicated facility, the Cambridge Dojo, located on Maclean Street in Waikato, New Zealand.
The dojo features a fully sprung floor with 40mm high-quality judo mats, providing a safe and professional training environment. This purpose-built space is owned by the club, reflecting its long-term commitment to the sport.
Training is led by a team of qualified coaches, including Harry Smith, Head Coach and a 3rd Dan with NZ L1 & L2 qualifications. Tracey Smith, also an NZ L1 and L2 Qualified Coach, supports the program with her expertise as a 1st Kyu.
Additional coaching comes from Dewald and Grant Shepherd, both NZ qualified coaches with ranks of 1st Kyu and 2nd respectively. All coaches are trained through Judo NZ, ensuring national standards are met.
The club offers sessions for Juniors (12 years and under) on Monday and Wednesday from 6:00pm to 6:45pm. Seniors (12 years 3 months and over) train immediately after, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The full schedule runs Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Cambridge Dojo.
