About Kodokan
Kodokan (Kōdōkan), located in Bunkyo City, Tokyo, is the world-renowned headquarters of judo and the birthplace of the martial art, founded by Jigoro Kano in 1882. This historic sports complex features multiple training halls, including the Main Dojo on the seventh floor, equipped with 1,206 mats and hosting daily practice sessions for athletes of all levels. Students can expect structured classes such as randori, kata workshops, women’s and youth programs, and specialized summer courses, all led by experienced instructors.
